双语：中国“海星6000”水下机器人首秀 下潜深度破6000米
One of China’s underwater robots, the Haixing 6000, recently set a national
depth record for a Chinese remotely operated vehicle, by diving 6,001 meters
below sea surface during its first research expedition, scientists told Xinhua
Sunday.
周日，科学家在接受新华社采访时表示，中国的水下机器人“海星6000”在首次科考任务中潜入水下6001米，创造了中国有缆遥控水下机器人的最大下潜深度纪录。
Haixing 6000 was developed by a team at the Shenyang Institute of
Automation under the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
“海星6000”是由中国科学院沈阳自动化研究所团队开发。
It is the first remotely operated underwater vehicle built by China that is
capable of diving 6,000 meters, said Li Zhigang, chief scientist of the
team.
该团队的首席科学家李智刚说，这是中国制造的第一艘能够潜水6000米的遥控潜水机器人。
It reached a maximum depth of 6,001 meters, and completed a series of
underwater tasks in three hours, including deep-sea observation, biological
research, soil and water sample collection, and a simulative black box
search.
“海星6000”的最大下潜深度达到了6001米，在3个小时内完成了一系列水下任务，包括深海观测、生物研究、泥样和水样采集、模拟黑匣子搜索打捞等。
At 2,000 meters, the underwater robot completed three sample collections in
different sea areas in a single day, obtaining a total of nearly 400 kilograms
of rocks, of which the largest single rock weighed 61 kilograms. Such an
operation also verified the robot’s capabilities and reliability.
在2000米级潜水中，水下机器人一天内连续三次完成不同海域的采样作业，获取最大单体岩石重量61公斤。连续大强度的科考作业，进一步验证了该水下机器人的稳定性和可靠性。
The name "Haixing" is Chinese for "starfish."
“Haixing”是中文“海星”的拼音。
According to scientists, the Haixing 6000 has conducted nine dives at
different depths during the research expedition, which finished on Friday,
showing that China has made progress in the development of underwater vehicle
and deep-sea exploration.
据科学家称，“海星6000号”在上周五结束的考察中进行了9次不同深度的潜水活动，这表明中国在水下航行器和深海探测方面取得了进展。
