据《中国日报》10月18日报道，武汉华中科技大学18名学生因学分不达标从本科转为专科。今年9月，教育部印发通知，要求各高校提高课程教学质量。随后越来越多的大学颁布了更严格的学籍管理办法。
A total of 18 students at Huazhong University of Science and Technology in
Wuhan were downgraded from a bachelor’s degree to an associate degree, reported
China Daily on Oct 18. The degree downgrade happened because the students
couldn’t meet the academic requirements. More and more Chinese universities have
strengthened their academic requirements for students as the Ministry of
Education released an announcement in September, asking universities to increase
the quality of university education.
