Topic 36 A Letter of InvitationDear Zhang Feng,
It’s been a long time since I last saw you. I am writing to invite you to
my hometown in this summer vacation with my heartfelt sincerity.
We haven’t enjoyed being together since we graduated from the high school,
for everyone is too busy to have a reunion. And I’d like to give you a pleasant
surprise that you will enjoy yourself in an extremely beautiful landscape. I
will accompany you to the sea, where waves rise and fall with much grandeur. And
you can walk along the seashore and enjoy the most interesting sight of the sea
or go swimming in the sea to escape the heat and to soak in cold clean water.
Moreover, the sea breezes are highly beneficial which would make you feel fully
relaxed. Meanwhile, you can taste the specialties of my hometown. I am sure that
you will enjoy yourself here.
I am looking forward to your reply. And I sincerely hope you can accept my
invitation.
