十九大后习近平首次会见外宾 “中国将坚定不移推进对外开放”
President receives foreigners for first time since 19th Party Congress.这是习近平总书记在十九大结束后首次会见外宾。
China will firmly stick to the basic national policy of opening-up and
pursue win-win cooperation while safeguarding the country’s sovereignty,
security and development interests, President Xi Jinping said on Monday.
10月30日，国家主席习近平在会见外宾时强调，中国将坚定不移推进改革开放这一基本国策，在捍卫国家主权、安全和发展利益基础上与各国实现互利共赢的务实合作。
Xi made the remark while meeting with members of the Advisory Board of
Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management at the Great Hall of the
People in Beijing. The members include foreign and Chinese entrepreneurs,
academics and former officials.
国家主席习近平在北京人民大会堂亲切会见了清华大学经济管理学院顾问委员会委员，并发表重要讲话。该委员会委员包括中外企业家、学者和前政府官员。
It was Xi’s first meeting with foreigners after his re-election as general
secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee at the First Plenary
Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee last week.
这是习近平总书记在上周结束的中共中央十九届一中全会再次当选为中共中央总书记后，首次会见外国友人。
Xi told the members that the recently concluded 19th National Congress of
the CPC had great significance, boosting Chinese people’s confidence of
continuing with the path of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
习近平指出，刚刚闭幕的中共十九大具有重要意义，更加坚定了我们继续走中国特色社会主义道路的信心。
Saying that China is deepening overall reform with unprecedented
determination and force, Xi vowed to continue to promote reform and
opening-up.
习近平强调，中国正以前所未有的决心和力度推进全面深化改革，将继续推进改革和对外开放。
China has not only benefited from but also contributed to economic
globalization, Xi said, adding that China’s development means opportunities for
the world.
中国是经济全球化的受益者，更是贡献者，中国的发展是世界的机遇。
China will not seek to take advantage of other countries but will pursue
win-win cooperation, Xi said, while pledging to take more measures to boost
opening-up.
中国的开放不是你输我赢，而是合作共赢，中国将继续出台一系列进一步扩大开放的举措。
The president pointed out that China sticks to the path of peaceful
development, proactively participating in the reform and construction of the
global governance system, and pushes to build a community of a shared future for
mankind.
习近平指出，中国将坚持走和平发展道路，积极参与全球治理体系的改革和建设，推动构建人类命运共同体。
Xi also highlighted the importance of education, saying that China’s
education system aims to train builders and inheritors of socialism with Chinese
characteristics.
习近平强调，教育是至关重要的，中国的教育就是要培养中国特色社会主义事业的建设者和接班人。
Commenting that he is looking forward to the upcoming meeting with US
President Donald Trump, Xi said China would like to make joint efforts with the
US to take each other’s interests and concerns into consideration, dissolve
disputes and contradictions, and engage in win-win cooperation.
习近平指出，他期待即将于美国总统特朗普的会面。中方愿同美方一道，相互照顾彼此利益与关切，妥善化解分歧与矛盾，实现互利共赢。
During the meeting, some members of the board made speeches to express
confidence in the Chinese economy and extended congratulations to the Party’s
19th National Congress.
会议期间，清华大学经济管理学院顾问委员会的委员们先后发言，表达了对中国未来经济发展的信心，并祝贺中共十九大胜利召开。
Tim Cook, CEO of Apple Inc, said at the meeting that Apple looks forward to
"continuing to be in China and working together on a very prosperous
future".
苹果公司首席执行官蒂姆·库克(Tim Cook)在会上表示：“苹果公司希望在中国长期发展，并与中国一道创造一个更美好的未来。”
"Innovation and technology come from openness and collaboration. I’d like
to strongly encourage China to continue to open wider to the outside world," he
said.
他表示;“革新与科技发展得益于开放和合作，我强烈希望中国不断扩大对外开放。”
