囧研究：直男们对女人化妆的看法
If you covered your blemishes, swiped on some mascara or dabbed on some blush this morning, you probably didn’t realise you would be accused of aesthetic espionage.你可能不会想到，如果你今天早上出门时擦了点遮瑕霜，刷了点睫毛膏或者拍了点腮红，男人们就会质控你是一个美丽的骗纸。
But according to the majority of men, you’re a grade A, male-gaze con artist. 根据大多数男性的观点，你成为了一名一流的、男人所谓的“行骗高手”。
According to a new survey from YouGov, 63 per cent of men believe that the main reason women wear makeup is to trick people into thinking they’re more attractive than they really are.根据YouGov的舆论调查显示，63%的男人都相信，女人化妆的主要目的是为了引诱人们相信她们富有魅力，这种魅力是她们素面朝天时所没有的。
Surprisingly though, the data revealed that 47 per cent of women share the same view.更令人吃惊的是，数据显示，47%的女性也赞同这一观点。
While 53 per cent said that women are held to unrealistic beauty standards by the media.另一方面，53%的女性认为自己之所以化妆，只是被舆论媒体哄抬起来的审美标准所绑架了，而这个标准高得离谱的。
Men however were less convinced with only 30 per cent strongly agreeing that the media presents women with an impossible benchmark. 对此说法，男性中以为然的只占少数，只有30%的男性强烈认为，舆论媒体用不现实的标准营造了虚假的女性形象。
