中小学英语作文《Ordinary but great》
My mother is fifty-five years old, and for the last thirty years she hasbeen the village doctor. She works in a small clinic where she prepares medicine
and treats small injuries. The clinic has people in and out at all hours of the
day and night. The villages always like to come to her clinic to see he doctor
and to meet their neighbors, too. Almost all the villagers come to my mother
when their babies are due. My mother is very good at predicting the day when the
baby will come. Sometimes my mother does not get sleep if babies come late at
night or early in the morning. We always like to see new babies get their first
bath because they look so red and small. Occasionally, my mother is so worried
about the patient that she forgets to eat. She racks her brains to try different
ways to cure diseases such as massage, acupuncture, and traditional Chinese
herbs. All the village people trust my mother because she is such a quiet, kind
and experienced friend of theirs.
My mother is ordinary but great.
