今天英语君要为大家介绍一个心头好的乐队。
就是这个 London Grammar ，在国内常被翻译成“伦敦语法乐队”，虽然在QQ音乐只有6000多个粉丝，但却排在英语君想推荐的歌手的前列。
文章开头的那首歌就是他们的成名曲。
正如标题里说的：有些歌为你疗伤，而有些歌让你再也不受伤。
London Grammar 的歌就属于后者。他们的歌词都写得比较朦胧，所有的故事都犹抱枇杷半遮面，但是每首歌都透出一种“没什么好纠结的，你依旧可以好好活着”的情感。
对于这一点，除了歌词以外，配乐风格和女主唱的唱腔也功不可没。

另外，个人觉得他们的歌真的特别适合用来练听力。
一是因为音乐风格听起来不费劲，做作业、睡觉前都可以听；二是因为英文用得很规矩；三是因为发音也没有什么奇怪的地方。

OK，今天的词 argue 是从刚刚那首歌里挑出来的，
这个词很基础，所有学英语的人都学过，不过对它的翻译却经常有误。有的地方会把它翻译成“争吵”，其实这样是不准确的，“争论”才是更正确的翻译。
argue 指的是“双方互相说理”，双方因为理念不同而各执立场，试图用自己的道理说服对方。
argue 的时候并不会发脾气什么的，也不会大声嚷嚷；如果那样的话就成了 quarrel ['kwɔrəl]，那才是“争吵、吵架”。
argue 是很平和的。比如你去面试，面试官最后说你没通过，而你认为还有重要的信息可以用来给自己争取机会，于是进一步跟面试官交涉；着就是一次 argue。
如果你成功说服了面试官来雇用你，那你就：
argued the HR into hiring you.
而如果你直接躺在门口大吵大闹不走了，这就是 quarrel。
