卷福花生：《神探夏洛克》主演们的中国昵称
As Chinese fans go potty for the BBC's Sherlock, it emerges that they have some rather endearing nicknames for its two stars.中国粉丝对英剧《神探夏洛克》着迷不已，现在我们发现，中国粉丝还给两位主角起了昵称以表达自己的衷爱。
It is no secret that BBC drama Sherlock and its star Benedict Cumberbatch are enormously popular in the world’s most populous country.众所周知，本尼迪克特·康伯巴奇主演的英剧《神探夏洛克》在中国这个人口最多的国家享有极高的人气。
But what is perhaps less well known is the nicknames Chinese fans have given the two stars of the hit drama: Curly Fu and Peanut.但不少人并不知道，中国粉丝给这部热门英剧的两位主角起了昵称：卷福和花生。
Cumberbatch's Sherlock is known as Curly Fu – Curly because of the coils of locks he sports for the role and Fu which is a shortening ofHolmes in Chinese.康伯巴奇饰演的夏洛克被称为“卷福”——“卷”字取自他在角色中一绺绺的卷发造型，“福”字是Holmes（“福尔摩斯”）中译名的缩写。
Freeman, who plays John Watson, is called Peanut for the rather more mundane reason that the actor's name in its Chinese form – Hua Sheng – sounds a lot like the Mandarin for the nut.饰演约翰·华生的弗里曼被称为花生。这个名字的来由更容易理解——这一角色姓名的中译名，“华生”听起来与“花生”相近。
The country's fixation on Sherlock was thrown into sharp focus during David Cameron’s official visit last week.上周英国首相戴维·卡梅伦访华期间，对这部英剧着迷的中国粉丝也把这部剧作为了与英国首相对话的焦点。
However, the bad news is that Chinese fans will have to wait longer than the 1 January UK air date for Sherlock series three to reach them. 然而，中国粉丝可能要听到坏消息了——《神探夏洛克》第三季在明年1月1日在英国首播，中国粉丝可能要等到1月1日之后了。
