Xiaomi Inc, which is known for its low-budget smartphones, is going afterhigh-end consumers with the launch of its most expensive phone model yet.

During a press conference in Beijing on Tuesday, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun pushed
out a 6.4-inch "full-screen" smartphone called MIX, which has a 91.3 percent
screen-to-body ratio.
周二，在北京的新闻发布会上，小米总裁雷军推出了一款名为MIX的6.4英寸“全面屏”智能手机，屏幕与机身比例为91.3%。
Equipped with many cutting-edge technologies such as ultrasonic proximity
sensors, the MIX will cost from 3,499 yuan ($517) to 3,999 yuan, the
highest-priced product of Xiaomi to date.
该手机配备了很多尖端技术，如超声波接近传感器， MIX的售价为3499元(517美元)到3999元，是目前为止价格最高的小米产品。
Typically, Xiaomi’s handsets are priced around 2,000 yuan.
通常，小米手机的售价为2000元左右。
"I will consider buying a MIX, which indeed achieves many breakthroughs in
terms of design and configuration," a 30-year-old Beijing resident said. “The
hardware and design are much better than Apple’s latest flagship iPhone 7 Plus,
” he noted.
“我将考虑购买一部MIX，它在设计和配置方面确实有很多突破，”一位30岁的北京居民说。“硬件和设计都比苹果最新的旗舰iPhone 7

Apart from MIX, the founder also rolled out a smaller-size Mi Note 2 during
the conference.

Sporting a 5.7-inch dual-edge curved display and Qualcomm Snapdragon 821
processor, the Mi Note 2 was described by Lei as a phone that could outperform
most other flagship smartphones.

Targeting middle- and high-end consumers, the Mi Note 2 series is also
priced higher than most of Xiaomi’s handsets, starting from 2,799 yuan to 3,499
yuan.
