最常见的比喻有两种：明喻simile和暗喻metaphor。
simile明喻
A simile is a figure of speech in which two fundamentally unlike things are explicitly compared, usually in a phrase introduced by like or as.明喻是常用as或like等词将两种不同事物通过比较而连接起来的一种修辞手法。
metaphor暗喻
A metaphor is a trope or figure of speech in which an implied comparison is made between two unlike things that actually have something in common.暗喻是将两种有共同点的不同事物进行隐晦比较的修辞手法。

1. Speak Now - Taylor Swift
据说《Speak Now》这首歌曲的创作灵感来源于霉霉的一个女性朋友告诉她的故事。这个朋友在高中的时候就和自己的男朋友分道扬镳了，后来她这个朋友的男朋友告诉她自己要结婚了，娶的是一个可怕的女孩子。于是，她就想问她的这个朋友一句“哦，你现在想要说些什么吗？”。另外，在西方婚礼中，牧师在婚礼结束前会说：“有异议就请现在开口（speak now），否则请永远保持缄默”。
