课堂内容提要：
不定式（The Infinitive）
1. 什么是不定式？
(to) + 动词原形 某些情况下to可以省略
2. 功能
1）不定式作主语
eg.To tell lies is wrong.
- 通常来说， to be作句子主语的时候，都会把不定式后置，作真正的主语；而加一个人称代词it,放在最前面---形式主语
- 一些实义动词 take, cost, require, make 也可以这样用。
- it作形式主语的时候呢，通常用介词for表示不定式动作的特征。
for + n./pron. 作不定式的逻辑主语
eg.It’s possible for him to master English.
2）动宾
① V+ to do
② V+ what + to do
③ V+间宾+ what + to do
④ V + it + 宾补 + to do
Complement重要！
适用于：SVOC结构中的C
① V+ O+ to do
② VP + O + to do
③ V+ O + to (be) +n./pron.
④ V +O + do（不带to）
使役动词、感官动词: see, hear, feel, watch, observe, let, notice, make, have…
3）Attributive
- 动词如果是不及物vi. 介词一定不能忘记。
eg.I want a bookcase to put my books in.
- 主谓关系
eg.He’s the best person to do that job.
- 同位语
eg.His plan to set up more branches in other cities wasn’t approved.
4）Adverbial
eg.purpose,result...
Exercises
1. It is easy _____(be) wise after the event.
2. I’m sorry ________(disappoint) you but I can’t let you ____(know) the result of the exam until the end of the week.
3. I saw him ___(run) the mile in four minutes.
4. Why didn’t you try _____ (persuade) him _____ (come) with us?
5. I advised him ____(ask) the bus conductor when _____(get) off.
6. _____(complete) that book in three months was a great achievement.
7. 爬这样高的山似乎是不可能的。
8. 请告诉我要走哪条路。
9.他们想找一个长凳坐坐。（bench）
