盆栽精The Weeknd，是埃塞俄比亚裔加拿大歌手，制作人。2010年底，他以“The Weeknd”的名义在YouTube上上传了数首歌曲。17岁时从高中辍学，随后他为自己取了“The Weeknd”这个艺名，灵感来源于“Left one week and never come home”，为了避免与加拿大乐队The Weekend发生版权纠纷，他采用了“Weeknd”的拼写。在本次的颁奖中，盆栽精获得了11项提名。
