由骇客帝国三部曲幕后原班人马结合日本和美国最新计算机动画技术的九部短片的原声音乐。网罗一票时下最顶尖的电音音乐狠角色的国歌级作品，包括伦敦二人组Layo & Bushwacka!优雅弛放的"Blind Tiger"、Death In Vegas入主各大杂志年度最佳单曲"Hands Around In Vegas"、Junkie XL轰动舞池的Progressive House国歌"Beauty Never Fades"新版本、名将Tech Itch取用电影对白的刚猛之作"The Real"…等。
近几年来，诸如「The Saint」、「15 Minutes」、「The Beach」、「Tomb Raider」等让电音/跳舞音乐与好莱坞电影工业结合的成功例子早已屡见不鲜，彷佛成为电影音乐构思的一道必胜方程式。是以即便「骇客帝国 - 重装上阵」(Matrix Reloaded)这部卖座电影的原声带清一色以Linkin Park、P.O.D.、Rage Against The Machine、The Deftones等Nu-Metal乐团为主，但由电影「骇客帝国」为基干发展而来的「骇客帝国动画版」(Animatrix)，便网罗一众时下最顶尖的电音音乐单位炮制出这张原声带。
一开场奥地利组合Kruder & Dorfmeister二分之一Peter Kruder所化身的Peace Orchestra便送上一曲太空化Downtempo乐章"Who Am I？"，当中意境的迷离延续到Nu-Breaks体系领导核心Adam Freeland以Free*land名义带来的深遂Breakbeat House新曲"Big Wednesday"，随后接上去年风光回归的伦敦二人组Layo & Bushwacka!那首优雅弛放的爵士化曲目"Blind Tiger"，串连得完美无暇。
此外，原声带中还收录Death In Vegas 2002年入主各大杂志年度最佳单曲名单的Elektroclash/Krautrock合体经典"Hands Around In Vegas"，以及Junkie XL 于2002年底/2003年初轰动舞池的Progressive House国歌"Beauty Never Fades"以媲美Hybrid的Progressive Breaks版本全新面世令人惊艳。而同样是Breakbeat取向，Meat Baet Manifesto的"Martinot Waves"踏着Big Beat节拍与浑厚Bassline而来，Drum'n'Bass/Deep House好手Photek意外送上一曲工业味十足、展现中慢板Chemical Beat风范的新作"Ren2"，Overseer的"Supermoves"祭出与当年The Propellerheads分停抗礼的"Rollin'"摇滚化Chemical Beat/Big Beat攻势，最为绝对慑人的则是圈中名将Tech Itch取用电影对白与凶残Amen Breaks节拍共冶一炉的刚猛Darkcore之作"The Real"。
