高考英语常考语法精讲：名词cold可数吗?
1. 表示“寒冷”，是不可数名词。如：She doesn’t seem to feel the cold. 她似乎不觉得冷。
Cold and heat succeed each other. 寒来暑往。
【注】在 with cold(因为寒冷)这一短语中通常不用冠词。如：
He died with cold. 他冻死了。
He was shivering with cold. 他冷得发抖。
2. 表示“感冒”、“伤风”等，是可数名词，不仅可用不定冠词修饰、有复数形式，而且还可以受数词的修饰。如：
Some people easily take colds. 有的人容易患感冒。
Most people have two or three colds a year. 大多数人一年患两三次感冒。
3. 表示“感冒”时，在 have (got) a cold 这一词组中 a 不能省略，但在 take (a) cold, catch (a)
cold, get (a) cold 这类表达中 a 却可以省略。但是注意：即使是后一种情况，cold 若有了形容词的修饰，则其中的 a
也不能省略。如：
误: take (catch, get) bad cold
正: take (catch, get) a bad cold 患重感冒
