不要再问我Ask Me No More作品赏析
诗人不遗余力地歌颂佳人的美，六月的玫瑰、金色的太阳、五月的夜莺以及明亮的繁星，都成了他的比较对象。但在诗人的心中，玫瑰、太阳和星星都和她相差甚远，就连夜莺的啼叫都比不上她“甜蜜的歌喉”，诗人对爱人的情意表露无遗!
作者简介
托马斯·卡洛Thomas Carew(1595-1645)，英国诗人，出生于肯特郡的西威克姆。卡洛就读于牛津大学。1630年，他成为查理一世宫廷中的一位官员。卡洛是第一位被称为“保皇诗人”的诗人。卡洛深受本·琼生和约翰·多恩的影响，写了许多短歌和爱情抒情诗，有些已被作曲家配上乐曲。他的诗歌以其意象的优美和典雅而著称。
Ask me no more where Jove bestows,
When June is past, the fading rose;
For in your beauty’s orient deep,
These flowers, as in their causes, sleep.
Ask me no more whither do stray
The golden atoms of the day;
For in pure love heaven did prepare
Those powders to enrich your hair.
