For World War II veterans and many others, June 6, 1944, D-Day, will never be forgotten. The Allied landings on Normandy marked the start of France's liberation from Nazi occupation and ultimately led to Germany's defeat. "母亲们，情人们还在等待。我可怜的母亲疯了。我们预料到她会那样，但没料到其他人。‘我儿子在哪儿？’。”
