Now how would you go about creating your own sustainable food production system on top of your house? Apparently a growing number of people are doing it using aquaponics. You don't always need soil and all the necessary nutrients are supplied to plants through a water supply linked to fish in a nearby tank. Small businesses in London are catching on to the idea, supplying salads, herbs and fish to local restaurants.
