A: You were so mellow after that guy hit your car!
B: Yeah, well, my friends all say I’m an old softie.
A: Most people would have argued with him all day. It was really big of you not to.
B: Well, I try to be kind to others if I know what happened was an accident.

B: 是啊，我的朋友都说我性子好。
A: 换了被人准会跟他吵一天，你可真有肚量。

【语言点精讲】
mellow: 自如的，放松的，心满意足地。在口语中用来形容人不容易生气或变得沮丧，随和好相处。
old softie: 用来形容外表冷漠，但实际上很热心肠的人。
big: 在口语中常用来讽刺某人觉得自己了不起。
kind: 指这个表达来源于德语的kinder（孩子）。形容人体谅他人，善良，从不有意伤害别人。
