【解说】这是用and连接的并列句式。在并列句中，如果主语不同，而谓语动词相同，则可以省略谓语动词。所以every soul has its particular aspiration中省略了has。

【解说】treasure用作名词的意思是“珍宝，珍品”，转化为动词则解释为“重视，珍惜”，表示珍藏某物以防丢失，尤指珍贵的或富有精神价值的物品，用于人时指出于爱慕之心而珍视或重视。

【解说】fulfill one's promise 就是“履行承诺”的意思，另外我们还可以说live up to one's promise, abide by one's promise, keep one's word等等。

【解说】optimist和pessimist是一对反义词，分别表示“乐天派”和“悲观者”。至于“乐观的”和“悲观的”则是optimistic和pessimistic。
