【解说】请大家注意：give someone a hand 与 give someone a big hand意思是不同的。前者表示在别人有困难时扶对方一把，即“助人一臂力”；后者是指“以热烈的掌声鼓励某人”，是强烈赞赏对方的表现。

【解说】"As far as … is concerned"意为“对……来说；就……而言”，引出个人的观点与看法，也可以说”So far as … is concerned”。

【解说】遇到时间非常紧迫的情况，该如何表达呢？我们可能会说“时间有限”，而老外常说，I'm pressed for time. 其中be pressed for time是固定搭配，意思是“时间紧迫”。另外，这句话也能表示“我的时间安排得很紧”。
