But if we place these technologies before student inquiry, we can be robbing ourselves of our greatest tool as teachers: our students' questions. For example, flipping a boring lecture from the classroom to the screen of a mobile device might save instructional time, but if it is the focus of our students' experience, it's the same dehumanizing chatter just wrapped up in fancy clothing. But if instead we have the guts to confuse our students, perplex them, and evoke real questions, through those questions, we as teachers have information that we can use to tailor robust and informed methods of blended instruction.你们知道,像Maddie这种疑惑和好奇心,相当一块磁铁拉近老师与学生(的距离),胜于所有教育方面的技巧或术语。但如果在学生进行探索前就展示这些技巧,我们将失去老师拥有的最佳工具:学生的疑惑。例如将一堂沉闷的课程,透过行动装置以荧屏来呈现,或许能节省讲课时间,但如果这成为学生体验的重点,将和填鸭式教育毫无区别,只是披着一件华丽的外衣罢了。但相反地,如果我们有勇气使学生困惑,让他们摸不着头绪,激发真正的疑惑,通过这些疑惑,身为老师的我们可获得某些信息,用来调整教学方式,获得进行混合式教学的方法。
