White House Press Secretary Jay Carney says while there's no doubt that Syria used chemical weapons, President Obama is still weighing his options for an appropriate response. Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel says U.S. military forces stand ready to strike if Obama gives the order.
Preparations are in full swing for the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington. The President will deliver remarks from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial on Wednesday.
Firefighters are gaining ground on the huge wildfire that's burned about 280 square miles in the western Sierra Nevada, including parts of Yosemite National Park. Containment is estimated at 20%.
And the Pennsylvania girl whose lung transplant sparked a national debate about how transplants are prioritized was released from the hospital and returned home on Tuesday.
