Texas Governor Rick Perry is expected to sign new restrictions on abortion into law Thursday. The measure could shut down most clinics that perform abortions in the nation’s second largest state.
Panama has brought charges against the crew of a North Korean ship for not declaring that weapons they were transporting belong to Cuba. Cuba says the weapons were being sent to North Korea for repairs.
And South Africa is celebrating Nelson Mandela’s 95th birthday amid the news that the former president's health is improving. A few weeks ago, he was reported to be close to death.
