《基督复活》作为世界上最伟大的艺术品之一,他的命运却是多桀的,这幅壁画曾被不欣赏他的人粉刷掉,后被人修复后才得以重见人世。后在二战时,盟军曾轰炸其所在的圣塞波克罗市,但幸运的是当时盟军的指挥官记起他所读过的一本书中提到在此市中有世界上最伟大的艺术品,便立即命令停止轰炸,《基督复活》又逃过一劫。这或许是天意――基督,总会复活。
