She's also the first to lay an egg. A clutch of EggCams are soon in the thick of it. Back in the Falklands, 7,000 rockhopper males have waited nearly two weeks for their partners to arrive. Their only pastime has been a spot of housekeeping. Then, the sight they've been waiting for - the girls are back. Their surfing technique helps them locate their favourite landing spot. The tide is out, allowing a more elegant arrival.
