While their eyes adjust to the dark, they can't see the danger. Vampires can last just two days without feeding on blood. They never turn down a meal. They home in by sensing body heat. As fortune has it, the cave offers an escape route. It's a tunnel that bypasses the sea lions and reaches the other side.
