        《最后的晚餐》是一幅广为人知的大型壁画,文艺复兴时期由列奥纳多·达·芬奇于米兰的天主教恩宠圣母的多明我会院食堂墙壁上绘成,1980年被列为世界遗产。

Milan at the end of the 15th century was a city of some hundred thousand people. Ludovico Sforza was very much what we would think of as the old-styled despot of the Italian city states, a strong, autocratic, top-of-the-pyramid type of ruler.
Ludovico known as il Moro, or the Moor, because of his dark colouring, was no stranger to the shady arts of politics. He'd come to power in Milan when his young nephew, the rightful Duke, died, in mysterious circumstances.“最后的晚餐”被誉为西方文化人性和开明的高点,可说是实至名归。但它的诞生得归功于一名15实际独裁者的野心和傲慢。
