Iran moved into second place in Group A by beating Lebanon 4-0. Korea topped the group with Iran second and Uzbekistan in third. The top two qualify for Brazil, while the third-place team must fight their way through the playoffs. Whatever happens, though, Siraj Talibov from the BBC's Uzbek Service says the country is making footballing progress.
"There have been a lot of investments into the football industry, and that there have been cooperation with the leading European teams including Barcelona several years ago, and good players have been invited to Uzbek local league, for example, Rivaldo was there, several Argentinian players were there, Messi and Fabregas went several years ago to show master class for several days, and of course it draws huge attention.
