They're the best returners in the game and this was a returning feast. The first set lasting one hour and 13 minutes highlighted by seven breaks of serve, an epic encounter, punch and counter punch. Both players smashed the racquets, such was the intensity. Murray squandered five match points in the second set and after clinching the tiebreak 13-11; Djokovic took control in the decider, winning the three-hour-and-19-minute battle 5-7, 7-6, 6-3. The Serb's on a team match winning streak since losing the U.S. Open final to Murray and is on course to finish the year rank World No. 1.
Well despite his victory Djokovic made no apology for smashing his racquet during the match.
"…professional tennis players and we're big rivals, but in the end we're humans. And we shouldn't be ashamed of our emotions. I don't see anything bad in showing your emotions - positive, negative emotions. It's understandable I think that we get to show our emotions in that way. Okay, it's not nice if we break a racquet obviously. But it happens once in a while.
