So here it is. It's very small and it's very hard to see, but I find it absolutely fascinating. What we have here is a human figure being crucified on the cross. What's bizarre about it is that the person being crucified has the head of a donkey. There's a figure, apparently worshipping beside the cross, hand raised, possibly a soldier, and, underneath, it says, "Alexamenos worships his God." Now what's remarkable about this is it's the first ever representation of the Crucifixion in history. What's interesting is that it's clearly not by a Christian at all, but by a pagan Roman.
