The Argentine now has 14 goals in this season's tournaments, the most ever in a single campaign. And he also became the youngest player to score 50 goals in the Champions League. Andrés Iniesta got the third at the Camp Nou where Milan were briefly level when Antonio Nocerino scored to make it 1-1, a result that would have taken the Italians through.
Meanwhile, Ivica Olić scored twice as Bayern Munich beat Marseille 2-0 in their second leg at the Allianz Arena.
