It is hoped that wider applications of space technology will turn out to be an important driving force in the country's economic and social deveopment.
It is my view that expensive as they are, manned missions are worth it. In addition to offering a tremendous boost to a country's technological capbilities and creating a plenitude of other possibilities, they are a huge morale booster. The succesful launch of Shenzhou-VII has clearly showcased the value of devotion, co-operation and pursuit of the unknown. And the upbeat spirit the three Chinese astronauts demonstrated in the face of the unknown will inspire the nation to take on challenges as it continues to evolve.设想一下：在太空中培育更高产量和质量的新种子将对一个有着13亿人口的国家意味着什么。对空间技术的更广泛的运用将成为城市经济和社会发展的巨大推动力。
在我看来，尽管载人飞船耗资巨大，但是物有所值。除了对我国技术力量产生巨大的推动以外，它也将极大的鼓舞全国人民的精神。“神舟七号”的成功发射已经清楚的证明了奉献，合作以及探索未知的价值所在。而三位宇航员在面对未知事物时的乐观精神将激励中国在未来的发展中应对将会面临的种种挑战。
