《Going Home》是美国名作家及记者Peter Hamill在1971年《纽约邮报》上发表的一篇故事。上世纪六七十年代由于国家参与越南战争，美国人正处于十分艰难的时代，人们传统的价值观如同情，理解，信任以及爱开始逐渐缺失。作者希望通过一个刚放出的囚犯在旅途上与一群年轻人的故事，来表达对于回家强烈的渴望，只有回家了才可以重新找回那些曾经拥有的传统美好的价值观。由于这个动人的故事，在美国，黄丝带也成为了欢迎长时间离家的人归来的标志，尤其是指那些历经磨难的人。Hints：

There were six of them, three boys and three girls, and they got on the bus at the 34th street, carrying sandwiches and wine in paper bags. They were dreaming of golden beaches and sea tides as the gray, cold spring of New York vanished behind them. Vingo was on the bus from the beginning.
As the bus passed through New Jersey, they began to notice that Vingo never moved. He sat in front of the young people, his dusty face masking his age, dressed in a plain brown suit that did not fit him. His fingers were stained from cigarettes and he chewed the inside of his lip a lot. He sat in complete silence and seemed completely unaware of the existence of the others.
Deep into the night, the bus pulled into a Howard Johnson's restaurant and everybody got off the bus except Vingo. The young people began to wonder about him, trying to imagine his life:perhaps he was a sea captain; maybe he had run away from his wife; he could be an old soldier going home. When they went back to the bus, one of the girls became so curious that she decided to engage him in a conversation. 到了深夜，汽车开到一家霍华德.约翰逊连锁餐饮店前停了下来，所有的人都下了车，唯独温戈没下。那群年轻人开始对他产生了好奇，试着猜想他的生活阅历：或许他是个船长，或许他是从他妻子身边逃出来的，或许他是个退役回家的老兵。当他们回到车上，其中一个女孩按捺不住好奇心，决定和他聊聊天。于是她做到了他的身旁，做了一下自我介绍。
