As a general rule, adjectives are generally placed in this order. First, opinion, then size, quality, age, shape, colour, participle forms, origin, material, type and purpose.
So the phrase a beautiful old Indian carpet follows these guidelines, a beautiful old Indian carpet.
You don't have to include an example of every type of adjective, but the ones you do use should follow the order.当我们用两个或者三个形容词来描述一个名词时，我们排列这些形容词的顺序非常重要。例如，我们通常不会说一个老的印度的漂亮的地毯，一个漂亮的老的印度的地毯的说法要顺口的多。
