The five were flown out of Britain late last night within hours of the High Court rejecting their final efforts to halt extradition to the United States. The British Prime Minister David Cameron gave this reaction to Abu Hamza's extradition a few hours ago.
"Well, I'm absolutely delighted that Abu Hamza is now out of this country. Like the rest of the public, I'm sick to the back teeth of people who come here, who threaten our country, who stay at vast expense to the taxpayer, and we can't get rid of them. I'm delighted on this occasion we've managed to send this person off to a country where he will face justice. Now, we should learn every lesson. How do we stop these people coming in? How do we get rid of them more quickly? How do we make sure they don't spend so long at taxpayers' expense?"
Through their long legal battle to avoid extradition, all five men attracted extensive media coverage here in Britain, Abu Hamza particularly so. But how well-known are they in the United States?
