Prosecutors have presented their closing arguments in the John Edwards campaign corruption trial. The jury is expected to begin deliberations Friday. If convicted on all charges, the former Democratic presidential candidate faces up to 30 years in prison and one-and-a-half million dollars in fines.
A medical examiner says Mary Kennedy died of asphyxiation due to hanging. The estranged wife of Robert Kennedy Junior was discovered dead in her New York home Wednesday. The 52-year-old had struggled with drug and alcohol issues.
The 300 lawmakers who were elected in Greece’s parliamentary balloting earlier this month have been sworn in. The lawmakers will only be in power for one day. A caretaker government has been appointed to serve until new elections held next month.
Disco queen Donna Summer has died. Her anthems from the 1970s included 'Last Dance', 'Love to Love You Baby', and 'Bad Girls.' She was 63.
