Jo: And today’s expression is to do with food and a kind of food which is great for people who don’t like cooking. It’s ready meal…. ready meal
Jean: OK, a ready meal – 就是已经做好了的饭菜，只要以加热就可以吃的即食餐。
Jo: Yes, a ready meal is a meal which is completely prepared and cooked, and you just have to reheat it.

A. Oh, I can’t be bothered to cook tonight – I’m too tired – I’m just going to put a ready meal in the microwave.
B. My dad can’t cook properly at all – he just heats up frozen ready meals in the oven.
Jo: In a microwave
Jean: Microwave 微波炉。
Jo: Or in an oven
Jean: Oven 烤箱。
Jean: 什么样的食品可以做成ready meal?
Jo: All sorts of food… English ready meals like shepherds pie
Jean: Shepherds pie 就是英国的传统食品“牧羊人派”，是用羊肉馅和土豆泥做成的。
Jo: Or Italian ready meals like lasagne.
Jean: Lasagne 就是意大利的烤宽面条。
Jo: Or even Chinese ready meals like sweet and sour chicken.
Jean: 而且在英国超市还可以买到中餐的 ready meals，不错啊！
