真实场景做基础The heart-warming tale of UP, Pixar's latest 3D animation film about Mr
Fredricksen, an old man who takes a balloon-powered flight in his house to South
America, was inspired by locations just as magical and remote as those created
in the film。

The actual plateau portrayed by Conan Doyle is probably based on Mount
Roraima, which straddles Guyana and Brazil. Victorian explorers bought back
tales of the remote, forbidding, table-shaped formation, which inspired the
creator of Sherlock Holmes。

its vivid backdrops, which were based heavily on the creative team's visit to

To hone their portrayal of the wilderness, the creative team actually
visited one of the world's most remote summits, that of Mount Kukenan in
Venezuela, known as a place of the dead by the local Pemon Indians。
Very few people have ever set foot on the mountain. Ricky Nierva, UP's
production designer, said: "It felt very eerie – you expected to turn a corner
and see a dinosaur roaming around"
