地道外语不可不知的俚语
第一句： That’s more like it 这还差不多英解：that’s better than before , an improvement
说话者用这句话来表示，和先前的情况相较，对方的表现或态度现在总算比较可以让人接受，就如同我们中文所讲的“这还差不多”。

A：All right, I’ll clean up the kitchen and wash thedishes。

A：好吧，我会打扫厨房并且清洗盘子。
B：这还差不多。
第二句：stick around 待着
英解：stay at location , not leave
“stick”原可当粘住或固定住的意思。但是在这句片语中，“stick”可以解释为“停留”，“stickaround”这整句片语中就是指在某个地方停留徘徊的意思。

A：Are you looking for Susan? She’ll be here in half anhour。

有时候我们对一件事情虽然还没有很明确的决定，但是可能心中已经有了一些粗略的想法或概念，“have something

第四句：you can’t have it bothways 鱼与熊掌不可兼得
英解：must choose one of two incompatible
things这句片语是指人对许多事情的要求往往会顾此失彼，无法两者兼顾，就如同中文所说的“鱼与熊掌不可兼得”。

英解：that’s the right attitude“Spirit”说这句话的时候通常是为了对某人展现出的精神或态度表示赞许或激赏。

第六句：time will tell 时间会证明
英解：an outcome will reveal itself in
time这句片语的意思，就是我们常听人说的“时间会证明一切”，也就是在不确定事情发展结果的情况下，只好顺其自然，留待时间来证明吧!
