实用英语：品牌代言人brand spokesman
泳坛飞鱼菲尔普斯这次又要再做一次“吸金王”了。他将签约成为一汽马自达“睿翼”汽车的品牌代言人。汽车业内人士透露，菲尔普斯是现代运动偶像，最近被美国《体育画报》评选为年度运动家，他作为代言人是马自达的首选。请看《中国日报》的报道：

在今年8月的北京奥运会上破纪录地独揽八金后，菲尔普斯本周首次回到北京，他已经签约成为马自达汽车在中国的品牌代言人。
上面报道中的brand spokesman(spokesperson) 就是指“品牌代言人”。除了brand
spokesman外，我们还可以用endorse来表示“代言”。比如上面的报道还可以表述为Phelps returns to China to endorse
Mazda。
买东西时，你是不是也喜欢买name brand(名牌产品)呢?但要小心了，标价很高的也有可能是imitation
brand(冒牌货)，你可要仔细看清楚brand mark(商标)，还要记住买brand new product(新产品)前一定要仔细考察。
除了表示“代言人”外，spokesman最常见的用法是表示某机构的“发言人”，比较中性的说法是spokesperson。比如 spokesperson
of Ministry of the Foreign Affairs就是指“外交部发言人”。如果想表达选举某人为发言人，可以说make/constitute
sb. our spokesman/ spokeswoman/ spokesperson。
