1、考查类型：四级主要考查图画作文、一句话点评类作文和叙议结合作文，六级主要考查图画作文和一句话点评类作文。根据2015年2个考次6道真题作文，四、六级作文形式趋于统一，主要考查图画作文和一句话点评类作文。根据历年真题命题规律可知，未来的四六级作文（再次题型改革之前）主要就是图画作文和一句话点评类作文，而且两种类型相间而考。
2、考查题材：根据上表可知，图画作文主要考查科技与生活方面的内容，一般考查科技进步对人们生活的影响；一句话点评类作文主要考查名言谚语。
