唐装(Tang suit)广义上是指西式裁剪的满族(Manchu)服饰，而不是唐朝的服装。它吸取了满清服饰的款式和面料，同时采用了西方服装的立体式剪裁 (three-dimensionalcutting)。国内所称的“唐装”，基本上是清末的中式着装。唐装其实是中式服装的统称，这主要是因为国外都称华人居住的地方为“唐人街”，那 “唐人”穿的衣服自然就应该叫“唐装”了。另外，国外的一些华人也称中式服装为 “唐装”，所以唐装的取名颇有国际化的味道。

Tang suits refer to Manchu clothes cut by Western methods in a broad sense, instead of clothes of the Tang Dynasty.Tang suits use patterns and materials of Manchu clothes and adopt the three-dimensional cutting method of Western clothes.Tang suits in mainland people's eyes are Chinese-style clothes in the late Qing Dynasty.Tang suit is actually the general name of Chinese-style clothes, and the main reason is that the place where Chinese people live overseas is called “Chinatown”，naturally the clothes worn by “Tang people” are “Tang suits”.In addition, some Chinese people abroad also call Chinese-style clothes “Tang suits' giving the name Tang suits much international flavor.
