曾经获得“全英爵士音乐奖最佳女歌手”奖项的Stacey
Kent原来并不是一个土生土长的英国歌手，出生于纽约的她在到伦敦攻读意大利文、法文和德文的过程中结识了后来成为她丈夫的萨克斯风手Jim
Tomlinson，从此半路出家开始了爵士歌手生涯。这位学习欧洲语言文学出身、来自美国的媳妇借着准确的发音和糅合欧陆文化的气质，很快得到英法乐迷的认同，回到美国也同样受到瞩目。就像Michael
Buble曾被媒体誉为“Frank Sinatra接班人”一样，Stacey Kent也被英国BBC音乐杂志赞誉为“Ella
