同事Mary另谋高就已有一段时间。一些平时与她联络的客户向我问她的近况。我就回答说：“She is at a better place now”客户听了後变得很愕然，还很悲哀地问："What? How sad! What happened to her?" 我看到他那样子，明白我用错了词句，马上解释说："she found a new job。 She is working at a better place now。"
因为"She is at a better place。"的意思是："她已上了天堂" !
