May: Here you are. How is Danny?
Shirley: Better now. We are just back from the hospital. We were lucky to meet a well-known doctor.
May: What did the doctor say?
Shirley: He said that he had a really bad cold.
May: Shall we go back home now?
Shirley: The dispensary closed. Here is the given prescription.
May: I bought some advanced medicine. Is there anything you need?
Shirley: Probably not. Some medicine we need is ethical drug which you can't buy without a prescription.
May: Now what?
Shirley: I'll go back home with Danny. You go to the pharmacy again.
May: Okay, this is the third time.
Shirley: What? How come? The third time?
May: You don't have to know. Bye for now.
Shirley: Be careful.

过去分词作定语
单个的过去分词作定语，通常放在被修饰的名词之前，称为前置定语，可以表示被动意义和完成意义。
1.过去分词作前置定语
被动意义：
an honored teacher 一位受尊敬的老师
the injured workers 受伤的工人
完成意义：
She is a retired teacher. 她是个退休教师。
They are cleaning the fallen leaves in the yard.
他们正在打扫院子里的落叶。
2.过去分词作后置定语
They decided to change the material used. 他们决定更换使用的材料。
3.过去分词短语作定语
通常放在被修饰的名词之后，它的作用相当于一个定语从句，例如：
This will be the best novel ever written. 这将是小说中写的最好的。
相当于This will be the best novel that has ever been written.
4. 其它情况
如果被修饰的词是由every, some, any, no +thing/ body/ one所构成的复合代词或指示代词those等时，分词要放在被修饰词的后面
