英文金曲：Inside your heaven《天堂》
基本来说，Carrie Underwood目前很红，她无疑是继Kelly Clarkson之后，“美国偶像”培养出来的最耀眼的新星。今年2月份，Carrie Underwood凭借一首“Jesus,take the
wheel”，荣获第49届格莱美最佳乡村女歌手奖。而在今年年初美国《公告牌》杂志公布的2006年度Billboard 200专辑榜中，Carrie
Underwood又凭借处女作专辑“Some Hearts”荣登2006年美国唱片市场的年度销量冠军。
与走乡村路线的Carrie Underwood相比，风格相当明确的摇滚歌手Bo Bice似乎要背运一些。当年，两位美国偶像在决赛当晚演唱“Inside
your heaven”时，相当一部分现场观众都认为是Bo Bice的唱功更为收放自如。只是，观众投票最终还是把“偶像”桂冠戴在了形象清纯的邻家女孩Carrie
Underwood头上。
在两人随后的处女专辑发行业绩上，Bo Bice再次在“比赛”中败在Carrie Underwood之下。2005年，Carrie
Underwood推出个人首张专辑“Some Hearts”之后，Bo Bice也推出了自己的第一张专辑“The Real
Thing”。虽然该专辑在发行后第一周的销量名列当周Billboard 200专辑榜第四位，但还是比Carrie Underwood的“Some
Hearts”首周销量排名低了两位。
撇开销售量等一系列量化“考核”不谈，Carrie Underwood的首张专辑“Some
Hearts”确实成绩不菲。专辑中的歌曲基本上都是她最为擅长的流行乡村音乐，其中还融合有乡村/流行福音/抒情摇滚等曲风。Carrie的歌声兼具了流行摇滚的率真以及乡村音乐的醇美，在她挥洒自如的演绎下，多数歌曲都得到了恰如其分的解读，比如主打曲目“Jesus,
take the wheel”就是一首阐扬信仰力量的乡村心灵乐章，Carrie Underwood饱满的音域、丰沛的情感在歌中被挥洒得淋漓尽致。
相比而言，Bo Bice那张堪称“摇滚”阵容强大的“The Real Thing”就有点言过其实了。从专辑开场曲“The Real
Thing”开始，歌迷听到的歌曲就跟其他当代流行乐专辑没什么两样。尽管嗓音条件巨佳的Bo
Bice在专辑中依然表现巨佳，但这张流行摇滚专辑实在“流行”的显示不出Bo Bice最为骄傲的高音特长，难免会让Bo Bice的乐迷失望。
不过，话又说回来，两位新人“偶像”其实也才刚刚起步，现在评判孰高孰低似乎言之尚早。没听人说过?大器晚成者有之，昙花一现者有之，“泯然众人者”亦有之。
